Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic value of multislice computed tomography and gated single-photon emission computed tomography in patients with suspected coronary artery disease.
Jacob M. van Werkhoven,Joanne D. Schuijf,Oliver Gaemperli,J. Wouter Jukema,Eric Boersma,William Wijns,Paul Stolzmann,Hatem Alkadhi,Ines Valenta,Marcel P. M. Stokkel,Lucia J.M. Kroft,Albert de Roos,Gabija Pundziute,Arthur J.H.A. Scholte,Ernst E. van der Wall,Philipp A. Kaufmann,Jeroen J. Bax +16 more
TL;DR: Both MSCT and MPI were synergistic, and combined use resulted in significantly improved prediction (log-rank test p value <0.005) and combined anatomical and functional assessment may allow improved risk stratification.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of significant coronary artery disease by noninvasive anatomical and functional imaging.
Danilo Neglia,Daniele Rovai,Chiara Caselli,Mikko Pietilä,Anna Teresinska,Santiago Aguadé-Bruix,María Nazarena Pizzi,Giancarlo Todiere,Alessia Gimelli,Stephen Schroeder,Tanja Drosch,Rosa Poddighe,Giancarlo Casolo,Constantinos Anagnostopoulos,Francesca Pugliese,François Rouzet,Dominique Le Guludec,Francesco Cappelli,Serafina Valente,Gian Franco Gensini,Camilla Zawaideh,Selene Capitanio,Gianmario Sambuceti,Fabio Marsico,Pasquale Perrone Filardi,Covadonga Fernández-Golfín,Luis M. TL;DR: In a multicenter European population of patients with stable chest pain and low prevalence of CAD, coronary computed tomographic angiography is more accurate than noninvasive functional testing for detecting significant CAD defined invasively.
Journal ArticleDOI
EANM procedural guidelines for radionuclide myocardial perfusion imaging with SPECT and SPECT/CT: 2015 revision
Hein J. Verberne,Wanda Acampa,Constantinos Anagnostopoulos,Jim Ballinger,Frank M. Bengel,Pieter De Bondt,Ronny R. Buechel,Alberto Cuocolo,Berthe L. F. van Eck-Smit,Albert Flotats,Marcus Hacker,Cecilia Hindorf,Philip A. Kaufmann,Oliver Lindner,Michael Ljungberg,Markus Nowak Lonsdale,Alain Manrique,David Minarik,Arthur J.H.A. Scholte,Riemer H. J. A. Slart,Elin Trägårdh,Tim C. de Wit,Birger Hesse +22 more
TL;DR: The major changes from the updated 2015 procedural guidelines for radionuclide myocardial perfusion imaging are highlighted, focusing on the important changes related to new instrumentation with improved image information and the possibility to reduce radiation exposure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Automatic quantification and characterization of coronary atherosclerosis with computed tomography coronary angiography: cross-correlation with intravascular ultrasound virtual histology
Michiel A. de Graaf,Alexander Broersen,Pieter H. Kitslaar,Cornelis J. Roos,Jouke Dijkstra,Boudewijn P. F. Lelieveldt,J. Wouter Jukema,Martin J. Schalij,Victoria Delgado,Jeroen J. Bax,Johan H. C. Reiber,Arthur J.H.A. Scholte +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the feasibility of a fully automatic and quantitative analysis of atherosclerosis on computed tomography coronary angiography (CTA) is assessed. But only visual assessment of plaque constitution is possible.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence of coronary artery disease and plaque morphology assessed by multi-slice computed tomography coronary angiography and calcium scoring in asymptomatic patients with type 2 diabetes
Arthur J.H.A. Scholte,Joanne D. Schuijf,Antje V. Kharagjitsingh,Joop Jukema,Gabija Pundziute,E. E. van der Wall,J.J. Bax +6 more
TL;DR: MSCT angiography detected a high prevalence of CAD in asymptomatic patients with type 2 diabetes with incremental value over calcium scoring, suggesting that MSCT might be a useful technique to identify CAD inasmuch as it is able to identify non-calcified plaques with incrementalvalue over calcium score.
