Boussinesq modeling of wave transformation, breaking, and runup. ii: 2d
TL;DR: In this article, an extended Boussinesq model for surf zone hydrodynamics in two horizontal dimensions is implemented and verified using an eddy viscosity term.
Journal ArticleDOI
Validation of a thirty year wave hindcast using the Climate Forecast System Reanalysis winds
TL;DR: A thirty one year wave hindcast (1979-2009) using NCEP's latest high resolution Climate Forecast System Reanalysis (CFSR) wind and ice database has been developed and is presented here.

Monochromatic and random wave breaking at blocking points
Arun Chawla,James T. Kirby +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a modified bore model is used to simulate the dissipation rate in the monochromatic waves, and an empirical bulk dissipation formula for wave breaking in random waves is proposed.
