Angular momentum transfer in deep inelastic collisions for the Ar+Au and Cu+Au systems

TL;DR: In this article, the authors performed γ-ray multiplicity experiments on three systems: Ar+Au at 227 MeV, Cu + Au at 365 and 443 MeV and found that the answer depends on the system, the fragment detection angle and the incoming beam energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bimodality: a possible signature of the liquid-gas phase transition of nuclear matter

TL;DR: Bimodality has been observed on the asymmetry between the charges of the two heaviest products resulting from the decay of the QP released in peripheral Xe+Sn and Au+Au collisions from 60 to 100 MeV/u as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hot-nuclei formation and decay: the Ar + Ag system at 50 and 70 MeV/u

TL;DR: In this paper, a 4π multidetector was used to distinguish between particles evaporated from the fusion nucleus and others, and it was possible to reconstruct the initial excitation energy of a fusion nucleus by adding the contributions of all the charged decay products and by estimating the neutron contribution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of neutron enrichment on disintegration modes of compound nuclei

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the neutron enrichment on the decay mechanism of excited nuclei was investigated in comparison with predictions of transition state and Hauser-Feshbach models, and cross sections, kinetic energy and angular distributions of fragments with charge 6 ≤ Z ≤ 28 emitted in 78,82Kr+40C at 5.5 MeV/A reactions were measured at the GANIL facility using the INDRA apparatus.
