Bimodality: a possible signature of the liquid-gas phase transition of nuclear matter
TL;DR: Bimodality has been observed on the asymmetry between the charges of the two heaviest products resulting from the decay of the QP released in peripheral Xe+Sn and Au+Au collisions from 60 to 100 MeV/u as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: In this paper, a 4π multidetector was used to distinguish between particles evaporated from the fusion nucleus and others, and it was possible to reconstruct the initial excitation energy of a fusion nucleus by adding the contributions of all the charged decay products and by estimating the neutron contribution.

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the neutron enrichment on the decay mechanism of excited nuclei was investigated in comparison with predictions of transition state and Hauser-Feshbach models, and cross sections, kinetic energy and angular distributions of fragments with charge 6 ≤ Z ≤ 28 emitted in 78,82Kr+40C at 5.5 MeV/A reactions were measured at the GANIL facility using the INDRA apparatus.
