Journal ArticleDOI
Connectomic Deep Brain Stimulation for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
Juan Carlos Baldermann,Thomas Schüller,Sina Kohl,Valerie Voon,Ningfei Li,Barbara Hollunder,Martijn Figee,Suzanne N. Haber,Sameer A. Sheth,Philip E. Mosley,Daniel Huys,Kara A. Johnson,Christopher R. Butson,Linda Ackermans,Tim A. M. Bouwens van der Vlis,Albert F.G. Leentjens,Michael T. Barbe,Veerle Visser-Vandewalle,Jens Kuhn,Andreas Horn +19 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a unified network that when modulated by means of cortical or subcortical interventions-alleviates obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and integrated findings from connectomic studies and deep brain stimulation interventions to characterize a neural network presumably effective in reducing obsessions and compulsions.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Unified Functional Network Target for Deep Brain Stimulation in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
Ningfei Li,Barbara Hollunder,Juan Carlos Baldermann,Astrid Kibleur,Svenja Treu,Harith Akram,Bassam Al-Fatly,Bryan A. Strange,Juan A. Barcia,Ludvic Zrinzo,Eileen M. Joyce,Stephan Chabardes,Veerle Visser-Vandewalle,Mircea Polosan,Jens H. Kuhn,Andrea A. Kühn,Andreas Horn +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, optimal functional connectivity profiles for maximal Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale improvements were calculated and cross-validated in leave-one-cohort-out and leaveone-patient-out designs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lead-DBS v3.0: Mapping deep brain stimulation effects to local anatomy and global networks
Clemens Neudorfer,Konstantin Butenko,Simon Oxenford,Nanditha Rajamani,Johannes Achtzehn,Lukas Laurids Goede,Barbara Hollunder,Ana Sofía Ríos,Lauren Hart,Jordy Tasserie,Kavisha Fernando,T A Khoa Nguyen,Bassam Al-Fatly,Matteo Vissani,Michael Fox,Robert M. Richardson,U. van Rienen,Andrea A. Kühn,Andreas Husch,Enrico Opri,Till A. Dembek,Ningfei Li,Andreas Horn +22 more
TL;DR: Lead-DBS as mentioned in this paper is an open-source toolbox for deep brain stimulation (DBS) and epilepsy monitoring, which includes a deformation warpfield editor and algorithms for electrode localization.
Journal ArticleDOI
The physiological responses to acute stress in alcohol-dependent patients: A systematic review.
TL;DR: Evidence for an association between blunted physiological stress responses and the relapse risk among patients with alcohol dependence is reviewed and the impact of duration of abstinence, comorbidities, baseline physiological arousal and intervention on the discrepancy of study findings is discussed.
