Journal ArticleDOI
Physicochemical characterization of Cu(II) complexes with SOD-like activity, theoretical studies and biological assays
Ana C. González-Baró,Reinaldo Pis-Diez,Carlos A. Franca,María H. Torre,Beatriz S. Parajón-Costa +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the mononuclear Cu(II) complex, [Cu(o-Va) 2 (H 2 O) 2 ] (o-HVa = vanillin, 2-hydroxy-3methoxybenzaldehyde) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FTIR, FT-Raman, and electronic spectroscopies and compared with the results obtained for the free ligand.
Journal ArticleDOI
Activity on Trypanosoma cruzi, erythrocytes lysis and biologically relevant physicochemical properties of Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes of thiosemicarbazones derived from 1-indanones.
Diego Santos,Beatriz S. Parajón-Costa,Miriam Rossi,Francesco Caruso,Diego Benítez,Javier Varela,Hugo Cerecetto,Mercedes González,Natalia Gómez,María E. Caputto,Albertina G. Moglioni,Graciela Y. Moltrasio,Liliana M. Finkielsztein,Dinorah Gambino +13 more
TL;DR: Metal coordination improved bioactivity but lead to an increase of mammalian cytotoxicity, Nevertheless, some of the metal complexes tested in this work still show suitable selectivity indexes and deserve further developments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structural and spectroscopic characterization of isotypic sodium, rubidium and cesium acesulfamates
Oscar E. Piro,Gustavo A. Echeverría,Eduardo E. Castellano,Beatriz S. Parajón-Costa,Enrique J. Baran +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, three new acesulfamate salts, NaC4H4NO4S, RbC4 H4 NO4S and CsC4 h4NO 4S, were prepared by reactions in aqueous solutions and thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, structural and spectroscopic characterization of thallium(I) acesulfamate
TL;DR: In this paper, a new acesulfamate salt, TlC 4 H 4 NO 4 S, was prepared by reaction of acid and thallium(I) carbonate in aqueous solution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization, DFT calculations and anticancer activity of a new oxidovanadium(iv) complex with a ligand derived from o-vanillin and thiophene
María R. Rodríguez,Lucia M. Balsa,Julián Del Plá,Javier García-Tojal,Reinaldo Pis-Diez,Beatriz S. Parajón-Costa,Ignacio E. León,Ana C. González-Baró +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, an oxidovanadium(IV) complex (VOL2) was obtained from the interaction of the vanadyl ion with a ligand, obtained by the condensation reaction of o-vanillin and 2-thiophenemethylamine.
