Copolymers of acrylamide (AM) and 4-vinylpyridine (4-VP) containing quaternary alkyl bromides, synthesis, quaternization, characterization

TL;DR: The copolymer P(AM-co-4-VP) (PAV) of acrylamide and 4-vinylpyridine (4VP) was synthesized by conventional radical copolymization, and then the copolymers was quaternized by alkylbromides chains with a number of carbon atoms varying (C2,C4,C8 and C10) to product cationic (CPAV), a cationically polyacrylamides containing quaternary pyridine alkylbromide chains varying
Journal ArticleDOI

On the Development of an Intelligent Poly(aniline-co-o-toluidine)/Fe3O4/Alkyd Coating for Corrosion Protection in Carbon Steel

TL;DR: In this article , a self-healing corrosion inhibitor, mixed with alkyd paint at different weight percentages, was used as a coating on carbon steel (C1010), and their corrosion protection performance was tested in 0.1 mol/L HCl, using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and FTIR analyses.

Comparison of BDD and SnO2 Electrodes for Carbendazim Electro-oxidation

TL;DR: In this paper, two types of electrodes, BDD and SnO2, were compared under the same conditions, and it was found that BDD electrode could mineralize our pesticide effectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Iron-ligand complex, an efficient inhibitor of steel corrosion in hydrochloric acid media

TL;DR: In this article , the inhibitor effect of FeSO4(Hdpz) complex prepared from iron sulfate7-hydrate and 1-Hydroxymethyl-3,5dimethylpyrazole on corrosion of mild steel in 1 M hydrochloric acid (HCl) at 308 K was investigated using measurements of weight loss and electrochemical techniques (impedance spectroscopy and polarization curves).
Journal ArticleDOI

Photo-induced force microscopy applied to electronic devices and biosensors

TL;DR: In this article , photo-induced force microscopy (PiFM) is used to spatially resolve nano-scale chemical features of electrochromic devices (ECDs), biosensors, solar cells and plasmonic nanoparticles.
