Deposits of clastic carbonate-dominated (calciclastic) sedimentary slope systems in the rock record have been identified mostly as linearly-consistent carbonate apron deposits, even though most ancient clastic carbonate slope deposits fit the submarine fan systems better. Calciclastic submarine fans are consequently rarely described and are poorly understood. Subsequently, very little is known especially in mud-dominated calciclastic submarine fan systems. Presented in this study are a sedimentological core and petrographic characterisation of samples from eleven boreholes from the Lower Carboniferous of Bowland Basin (Northwest England) that reveals a >250 m thick calciturbidite complex deposited in a calciclastic submarine fan setting. Seven facies are recognised from core and thin section characterisation and are grouped into three carbonate turbidite sequences. They include: 1) Calciturbidites, comprising mostly of highto low-density, wavy-laminated bioclast-rich facies; 2) low-density densite mudstones which are characterised by planar laminated and unlaminated muddominated facies; and 3) Calcidebrites which are muddy or hyper-concentrated debrisflow deposits occurring as poorly-sorted, chaotic, mud-supported floatstones. Much has been written about theory and practice in the law, and the tension between practitioners and theorists. Judges do not cite theoretical articles often; they rarely "apply" theories to particular cases. These arguments are not revisited. Instead the Essay explores the working and interaction of theory and practice, practitioners and theorists. The Essay starts with a story about solving a legal issue using our intellectual tools - theory, practice, and their progenies: experience and "gut." Next the Essay elaborates on the nature of theory, practice, experience and "gut." The third part of the Essay discusses theories that are helpful to practitioners and those that are less helpful. The Essay concludes that practitioners theorize, and theorists practice. They use these intellectual tools differently because the goals and orientations of theorists and practitioners, and the constraints under which they act, differ. Theory, practice, experience and "gut" help us think, remember, decide and create. They complement each other like the two sides of the same coin: distinct but inseparable.

) during the galvanostatic electrolysis of Abamectin was investigated.The influence of several operating parameters, such as applied current density, effect of electrolytes (NaCl), was investigated. UV spectroscopy and chemical oxygen demand measurements were conducted to study the reaction kinetics of abamectin mineralization. The experimental results showed that the electrochemical process was suitable for almost completely removing COD, due to the production of hydroxyl radicals on the diamond surface. In particular, the COD removal follows a pseudo first-order kinetics and the apparent rate constant increased with flowrate applied current and NaCl concentration.Under optimal experimental conditions of current density (i.e. 80 mA/ cm2), 88% of COD was removed in 2.5 h electrolysis.

Anodic Destruction of Abamectin Acaricide Solution By BDD- Anodic Oxidation

The one-pot, three-component reaction of aromatic nitriles, hydroxylamine hydrochloride, and sodium carbonate in ethylene glycol provided 3,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-oxadiazoles. These 1,2,4-oxadiazole derivatives are quickly prepared under microwave irradiation (2 h) in high yields and excellent state of purity. The synthesized compounds were characterized by means of their 1H, 13C NMR, mass spectroscopy data and elemental analysis.

A rapid and an efficient synthesis for 3,5-disubstituted 1,2,4-oxadiazoles under microwave irradiation

The electrical conductivity and optical absorbtion of the table sugar solution are discussed. Attention is focused predominantly upon the effect of high-energy radiation (gamma-ray) .the result from experiments relevant to dosimetry, such as behavior resetting, dose response, dose rate, stability and reproducibility are described. The observed change in both the electrical conductivity and the optical properties suggest that sugar solution may be considered as effective samples for room temperature real time gamma –radiation dosimetry.

Characterization of table sugar dosimeter for gamma-radiation dosimetery

The region Taourirt endures a big problem of pollut ion of surface waters. This pollution has diverse o rigins, domestic, agricultural and industrial. Evaluation o f the concentration of the metals studied (Al, As, Se, Mn, Ni, Fe, Zn, Cu, Cr, Pb and Cd) in surface water has reveale d the presence of a large metal contamination, main ly in the river downstream of releases. Heavy metals soluble in water after filtration is determined by atomic e mission spectroscopy with inductive coupled plasma (ICP-AES ) using a JY-type spectrometer. To better assess th e impact of wastewater on water quality of the Za River and its tributary oued Tizeghrane, and analyze between the different variables through their structuring and guidance co rrelations and to identify the main factors respons ible for the water quality of the surveyed environment, we treat ed statistically all data by Principal Component An alysis (PCA). The typological structure of the plan analysis F1 x F2 shows the identification of four areas, dependi ng on the nature of metal pollutants, their degree of contami nation and the "season", this factor seems to be a determining factor in the type of flow studied
