Journal ArticleDOI
Beyond PM2.5: The role of ultrafine particles on adverse health effects of air pollution.
TL;DR: UFPs play a major role in adverse impacts on human health and require further investigations in future toxicological research of air pollution and the knowledge of nanotoxicology contributes to the understanding of toxicity mechanisms of airborne UFPs in air pollution.
Journal ArticleDOI
New power of self-assembling carbonic anhydrase inhibitor: Short peptide-constructed nanofibers inspire hypoxic cancer therapy.
Jiayang Li,Kejian Shi,Zeinab Farhadi Sabet,Zeinab Farhadi Sabet,Wenjiao Fu,Huige Zhou,Shaoxin Xu,Tao Liu,Min You,Mingjing Cao,Mengzhen Xu,Xuejing Cui,Bin Hu,Ying Liu,Chunying Chen,Chunying Chen +15 more
TL;DR: With its biocompatible components and distinctive hypoxia therapies, this nanomaterial advances current chemotherapy, providing a new direction for hypoxic cancer therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Early-life exposure to three size-fractionated ultrafine and fine atmospheric particulates in Beijing exacerbates asthma development in mature mice
TL;DR: Exposure to ambient PM in juvenile mice enhanced adult asthma development, as shown by increased Th2 responses, which might be associated with the persistent effects resulting from the oxidative stress and decreased gene expression of DNMTs induced by PM exposure.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vivo percutaneous permeation of gold nanomaterials in consumer cosmetics: implication in dermal safety assessment of consumer nanoproducts.
Mingjing Cao,Mingjing Cao,Bai Li,Mengyu Guo,Ying Liu,Lili Zhang,Yaling Wang,Bin Hu,Jiayang Li,Duncan S. Sutherland,Liming Wang,Chunying Chen,Chunying Chen +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, percutaneous permeation and dermal safety of cosmetic cream containing Au nanosheets and extracted nano-materials from cosmetic creams were investigated with guinea pigs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stem cell Janus patch for periodontal regeneration
Na Yan,Na Yan,Bin Hu,Bin Hu,Junchao Xu,Junchao Xu,Rong Cai,Rong Cai,Zhenhai Liu,Dapeng Fu,Beibei Huo,Zhenhua Liu,Yuliang Zhao,Yuliang Zhao,Chunying Chen,Chunying Chen,Weihua Xu +16 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors designed a stem cell-containing patch (stem cell Janus patch; SCJP) to acclimatize stem cells in the osteogenic and odontogenic microenvironment for periodontal regeneration.
