Journal ArticleDOI
Acute toxicity of nano- and micro-scale zinc powder in healthy adult mice
Bing Wang,Weiyue Feng,Tian Cheng Wang,Guang Jia,Meng Wang,Jun Wen Shi,Fang Zhang,Yuliang Zhao,Zhifang Chai +8 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that severe renal damage could occur in the N-Zn treated mice, though no significant change of blood biochemical levels occurred, which indicated that N- Zn powder could cause severe anemia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Broad-spectrum antibacterial activity of carbon nanotubes to human gut bacteria.
Hanqing Chen,Bing Wang,Di Gao,Ming Guan,Lingna Zheng,Hong Ouyang,Zhifang Chai,Yuliang Zhao,Weiyue Feng +8 more
TL;DR: CNTs may be broad-spectrum and efficient antibacterial agents in the gut, and selective application of CNTs could reduce the potential hazard to probiotic bacteria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of a mild mercaptoethanol extraction method for determination of mercury species in biological samples by HPLC-ICP-MS
Meng Wang,Weiyue Feng,Junwen Shi,Fang Zhang,Bing Wang,Motao Zhu,Bai Li,Yuliang Zhao,Zhifang Chai,Zhifang Chai,Zhifang Chai +10 more
TL;DR: It is easy to operate in HPLC-ICP-MS for mercury species determination since the extracted solution can be directly injected into the HPLC column without pH adjustment and the memory effect of mercury in the ICP-MS measurement system can be reduced.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effects of orally administered Ag, TiO2 and SiO2 nanoparticles on gut microbiota composition and colitis induction in mice
Hanqing Chen,Ruifang Zhao,Bing Wang,Chengxu Cai,Lingna Zheng,Hailong Wang,Meng Wang,Hong Ouyang,Xiaoyan Zhou,Zhifang Chai,Yuliang Zhao,Weiyue Feng +11 more
TL;DR: Gene analysis by 16S rRNA sequencing showed that AgNP ingestion induced shifts in the intra- and inter-phyla abundance of Bacteroidetes and Firmicute , reduced the Firmicutes / Bacteroids ratio, increased the lowly abundant families of bacteria, and decreased the probiotic bacteria genus Lactobacillus .
Journal ArticleDOI
ZnO nanoparticles act as supportive therapy in DSS-induced ulcerative colitis in mice by maintaining gut homeostasis and activating Nrf2 signaling.
TL;DR: ZnONP treatment has markedly dose-dependent effects on the remission of dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis in mice and can act as a medical additive for the therapy of IBD.
