Journal ArticleDOI

Human Obesity Induces Dysfunction and Early Senescence in Adipose Tissue-Derived Mesenchymal Stromal/Stem Cells.

TL;DR: Human obesity triggers an early senescence program in adipose tissue-derived MSC, which may alter efficacy of this endogenous repair system and hamper the feasibility of autologous transplantation in obese individuals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acute kidney injury in patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors.

Shruti Gupta, +67 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a multivariable logistic regression model was used to identify predictors of ICPi-AKI and its recovery, and the effect of rechallenge versus no re-challenge on survival was estimated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biomarkers, Clinical Features, and Rechallenge for Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor Renal Immune-Related Adverse Events.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed patients with cancer treated with ICI therapy between 2014 and 2020 who developed acute kidney injury (AKI) (defined as a ≥ 1.5-fold increase in serum creatinine [SCr]) and compared them with an adjudicated non-ICI-AKI group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metabolic Syndrome Induces Release of Smaller Extracellular Vesicles from Porcine Mesenchymal Stem Cells

TL;DR: It is shown that metabolic syndrome alters the size distribution of MSC-derived EVs in favor of exosome release, which may reflect MSC injury and membrane recycling in MetS or increased expulsion of waste products, and may have important implications for development of adequate cell-based treatments.
