Conference on Lasers and Electro-OP
C. Griffin,Jonathan J. D. McKendry,Hongxing Zhang,Zheng Gong,B. Guilhabert,David Massoubre,Erdan Gu,Martin D. Dawson,Bruce Rae,David Renshaw,Robert Henderson +10 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectral conversion of InGaN ultraviolet microarray light-emitting diodes using fluorene-based red-, green-, blue-, and white-light-emitting polymer overlayer films
G. Heliotis,Paul N. Stavrinou,Donal D. C. Bradley,Erdan Gu,C. Griffin,C.W. Jeon,Martin D. Dawson +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a series of blue-, green-, and red-light-emitting polyfluorene materials were used to convert the emission from an array of micron-sized ultraviolet InGaN light emitting diodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
CMOS driven micro-pixel LEDs integrated with single photon avalanche diodes for time resolved fluorescence measurements
Bruce Rae,C. Griffin,Jonathan J. D. McKendry,John M. Girkin,H.X. Zhang,Erdan Gu,David Renshaw,Edoardo Charbon,Martin D. Dawson,Robert Henderson +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a single chip approach to time resolved fluorescence measurements based on time correlated single photon counting is described, using a single complementary metal oxide silicon (CMOS) chip, bump bonded to a 4 × 16 array of AlInGaN UV micropixellated light-emitting diodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reflection/transmission confocal microscopy characterization of single-crystal diamond microlens arrays
Erdan Gu,Hoi Wai Choi,C. Liu,C. Griffin,John M. Girkin,Ian Watson,Martin D. Dawson,Gail McConnell,Alison M. Gurney +8 more
TL;DR: Using the method of photoresist reflow and inductively coupled plasma dry etching, the authors fabricated microlens arrays in type-IIa natural single-crystal diamond, with diameters down to 10 μm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical sectioning microscopes with no moving parts using a micro-stripe array light emitting diode
Vincent Poher,H.X. Zhang,Gordon T. Kennedy,C. Griffin,Stephane Oddos,Erdan Gu,Daniel S. Elson,John M. Girkin,Paul M. W. French,Martin D. Dawson,Mark A. A. Neil +10 more
TL;DR: By projecting arbitrary line or grid patterns onto the object, this system is able to implement a variety of optical sectioning microscopy techniques such as grid-projection structured illumination and line scanning confocal microscopy, switching from one imaging technique to another without modifying the microscope setup.
