Journal ArticleDOI
Reporting standards for angiographic evaluation and endovascular treatment of cerebral arteriovenous malformations
Mahesh V Jayaraman,Philip M. Meyers,Colin P. Derdeyn,Justin F. Fraser,Joshua A Hirsch,M. Shazam Hussain,Kristine A Blackham,Clifford J. Eskey,Mary E. Jensen,Christopher J. Moran,Charles J. Prestigiacomo,Peter A. Rasmussen,Cameron G. McDougall +12 more
TL;DR: The reporting criteria described will serve as a template for trial design and for clinical investigators who wish to report on endovascular therapy of cerebral AVMs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lack of Association between Statin Use and Angiographic and Clinical Outcomes after Pipeline Embolization for Intracranial Aneurysms.
Waleed Brinjikji,Harry J. Cloft,Saruhan Cekirge,David Fiorella,Ricardo A. Hanel,Pascal Jabbour,P Lylyk,Cameron G. McDougall,Christopher J. Moran,Amir M. Siddiqui,István Szikora,David F. Kallmes +11 more
TL;DR: A post hoc analysis from pooled patient-level datasets from 3 Pipeline Embolization Device studies found no association between statin use and angiographic or clinical outcomes among patients treated with the Pipeline Emblization Device.
Journal ArticleDOI
Resolution of mydriatic pupil after angioplasty and stenting of cervical internal carotid artery dissection: case report.
Giriraj K. Sharma,Vivek R. Deshmukh,Felipe C. Albuquerque,Thomas R. Wolf,Cameron G. McDougall +4 more
TL;DR: Cervical ICA dissection can manifest with a tonic mydriatic pupil and treatment with angioplasty and stenting of the dissected segment can restore flow and resolve the pupillary abnormality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance and training standards for endovascular acute ischemic stroke treatment.
Philip M. Meyers,H. Christian Schumacher,Michael J. Alexander,Colin P. Derdeyn,Anthony J. Furlan,Randall T. Higashida,Christopher J. Moran,Robert W Tarr,Donald V. Heck,Joshua A Hirsch,Mary E. Jensen,Italo Linfante,Cameron G. McDougall,Gary M. Nesbit,Peter A. Rasmussen,Thomas A. Tomsick,Lawrence R. Wechsler,John A. Wilson,Osama O. Zaidat +18 more
TL;DR: What constitutes adequate training to perform neuroendovascular procedures in patients with acute ischemic stroke and what performance standards should be adopted to assess outcomes are defined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Endovascular treatment of unruptured intracranial aneurysms in the elderly: analysis of procedure related complications
TL;DR: With only a 4% permanent rate of neurological morbidity and mortality, endov vascular treatment of unruptured aneurysms can be performed safely in the elderly and age should not be the limiting factor when considering endovascular therapy.
