A comprehensive overview of directing groups applied in metal-catalysed C-H functionalisation chemistry.
Carlo Sambiagio,David Schönbauer,Remi Blieck,Toan Dao-Huy,Gerit Pototschnig,Patricia Schaaf,Thomas Wiesinger,Muhammad Farooq Zia,Joanna Wencel-Delord,Tatiana Besset,Bert U. W. Maes,Michael Schnürch +11 more
TL;DR: The present review is devoted to summarizing the recent advances (2015–2017) in the field of metal-catalysed group-directed C–H functionalisation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Copper catalysed Ullmann type chemistry: From mechanistic aspects to modern development
TL;DR: The history and development of coupling reactions between aryl halides and various classes of nucleophiles is discussed, focusing mostly on the different mechanisms proposed through the years.
Journal ArticleDOI
Flow Photochemistry: Shine Some Light on Those Tubes!
Carlo Sambiagio,Timothy Noël +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the most important features of continuous flow technology applied to photochemical processes are discussed and a general perspective on this rapidly evolving research field is provided. But, the focus of this paper is on the photochemical process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Visible-Light-Promoted Iron-Catalyzed C(sp2 )-C(sp3 ) Kumada Cross-Coupling in Flow.
Xiao-Jing Wei,Irini Abdiaj,Carlo Sambiagio,Chenfei Li,Eli Zysman-Colman,Jesús Alcázar,Timothy Noël +6 more
TL;DR: A variety of strongly electron rich aryl chlorides, previously hardly reactive, could be efficiently coupled with aliphatic Grignard reagents at room temperature in high yields and within a few minutes’ residence time, considerably enhancing the applicability of this iron‐catalyzed reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimization of a Decatungstate-Catalyzed C(sp3)–H Alkylation Using a Continuous Oscillatory Millistructured Photoreactor
Zhenghui Wen,Apoorva Maheshwari,Carlo Sambiagio,Yuchao Deng,Yuchao Deng,Gabriele Laudadio,Koen Van Aken,Yuhan Sun,Yuhan Sun,Hannes P. L. Gemoets,Timothy Noël +10 more
TL;DR: Investigations of a decatungstate-catalyzed C(sp3)–H alkylation protocol were carried out using a recently developed oscillatory millistructured continuous-flow photoreactor, and conditions were found that led to considerably higher productivity.
