Journal ArticleDOI

Scanning the landscape of genome architecture of non-O1 and non-O139 Vibrio cholerae by whole genome mapping reveals extensive population genetic diversity.

TL;DR: The Whole Genome Mapping approach presented here enables rapid screening of large strain collections to capture genomic complexities that would not have been otherwise revealed by unfinished draft genome sequencing and thus aids in assembling and finishing draft sequences of complex genomes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complete genome assemblies for two single-chromosome Vibrio cholerae isolates, strains 1154-74 (serogroup O49) and 10432-62 (serogroup O27)

TL;DR: The completed genome sequences for two non-O1/non-O139 Vibrio cholerae isolates are reported, each isolate has only a single chromosome, as opposed to the normal paradigm of two chromosomes found in all other V. cholerance isolates.
