Journal ArticleDOI
Community structure of methanogenic archaea and methane production associated with compost‐treated tropical rice‐field soil
Abhishek Singh,Ram Sharan Singh,S.N. Upadhyay,Chaitanya G. Joshi,Ajay K. Tripathi,Suresh Kumar Dubey +5 more
TL;DR: The RFLP-based 16S rRNA gene-targeted phylogenetic analysis showed that clones were closely related to diverse group of methanogens comprising members of Methanomicrobi Families, Methanosarcinaceae, Methanosaetaceae and RC I.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bacterial diversity in the rumen of Indian Surti buffalo (Bubalus bubalis), assessed by 16S rDNA analysis.
P.R. Pandya,Krishna M. Singh,S. Parnerkar,Ajai K. Tripathi,H. H. Mehta,D. N. Rank,Ramesh K. Kothari,Chaitanya G. Joshi +7 more
TL;DR: Bacterial communities in buffalo rumen were characterized using a culture-independent approach for a pooled sample of rumen fluid from 3 adult Surti buffaloes to infer the makeup of bacterial communities in the rumen of S Kurti buffalo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular analysis of the bacterial microbiome in the forestomach fluid from the dromedary camel (Camelus dromedarius)
TL;DR: Combined pyrosequencing approach and subsystems-based annotations available in the SEED database allowed us to understand the metabolic potential of these microbiomes and suggest that agricultural and animal husbandry practices can impose significant selective pressures on the rumen microbiota regardless of rumen type.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genomic analysis of host – Peste des petits ruminants vaccine viral transcriptome uncovers transcription factors modulating immune regulatory pathways
Siddappa Manjunath,Gandham Ravi Kumar,Gandham Ravi Kumar,Bishnu Prasad Mishra,Bina Mishra,Aditya Prasad Sahoo,Chaitanya G. Joshi,Ashok K. Tiwari,Kaushal Kishore Rajak,Sarath Chandra Janga,Sarath Chandra Janga +10 more
TL;DR: These data provide insights into the host - PPRV vaccine virus interactome for the first time and suggested dysregulation of immune regulatory pathways and genes encoding Transcription Factors (TFs) that govern these pathways in response to viral infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
De novo Transcriptome Sequencing to Dissect Candidate Genes Associated with Pearl Millet-Downy Mildew (Sclerospora graminicola Sacc.) Interaction.
Kalyani S. Kulkarni,Harshvardhan N. Zala,Tejas C. Bosamia,Yogesh M. Shukla,Sushil Kumar,Ranbir S. Fougat,Mruduka S. Patel,Subhash Narayanan,Chaitanya G. Joshi +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, transcriptome analysis was performed in downy mildew resistant and susceptible genotypes upon infection and control on 454 Roche NGS platform with a total of ~685 Mb data obtained with 1 575 290 raw reads.
