Detection of Bovine Herpesvirus 1 Infection in Breeding Bulls by ELISA and PCR Assay.

TL;DR: While correlating the results of ELISA and PCR, some seronegative bulls revealed presence of viral genome in semen whereas few seropositive bulls could not reveal viral genomes in semen, thus, suggesting application of combined serological assay and PCR assay to detect the presence of BHV-1 infection in bulls.
Journal ArticleDOI

Emergence of a genotype I variant of avian infectious bronchitis virus from Northern part of India.

TL;DR: The first complete genome sequence of a variant IBV from an outbreak in Haryana state of the Northern part of India using next generation sequencing suggests that the IBV virus isolated from unvaccinated chicken flocks in North India might be a revertant strain originally evolved from the live attenuated vaccine strains used in the region.
Journal Article

Detection of meat species by polymerase chain reaction of actin gene family.

TL;DR: The results of conventional polymerase chain reaction with actin gene primers revealed a clear cut differentiation of pig and poultry with that of bovine, ovine and caprine meat, but it could not differentiate the meat of sheep from that of goat and meat of cattleFrom that of buffalo.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bacterial line of defense in Dirinaria lichen from two different ecosystems: First genomic insights of its mycobiont Dirinaria sp. GBRC AP01.

TL;DR: The study provides the first draft genome of the entire fungalDirinaria genus and provides insights into the Dirinaria lichen metagenome from Gujarat region.
