TL;DR: There is a need for greater attention to clients’ sexual risk and disease prevalence in China’s STI research agenda in order to inform effective prevention policies, and heterogeneity across studies and sampling limitations prevent definitive conclusions about how the prevalence of STIs in this population compares to the general population.

TL;DR: Investigation of the prevalence of recreational drug use among Chinese MSM and the correlation between gay smartphone based sex-seeking applications (gay apps), HIV/STIs testing, group sex, commercial sex, sexual roles and poppers use revealed Chinese MSM has a high rate of recreational drugs use, including poppers.
