Short communication Development of loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method for diagnosis of equine piroplasmosis
Andy Alhassan,Naoaki Yokoyama,Noboru Inoue,Makhosazana Y. Motloang,Peter A. Mbati,Yoshinari Katayama,Toru Anzai,Chihiro Sugimoto,Ikuo Igarashi +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) primers for detection of Theileria equi and Babesia caballi infections, and the results suggest that LAMP could be a potential diagnostic tool for epidemiological studies of equine piroplasmosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Lethal(2)-Essential-for-Life [L(2)EFL] Gene Family Modulates Dengue Virus Infection in Aedes aegypti
Lucky Ronald Runtuwene,Lucky Ronald Runtuwene,Lucky Ronald Runtuwene,Shuichi Kawashima,Victor D. Pijoh,Josef S. B. Tuda,Kyoko Hayashida,Junya Yamagishi,Chihiro Sugimoto,Shoko Nishiyama,Michihito Sasaki,Yasuko Orba,Hirofumi Sawa,Tomohiko Takasaki,Anthony A. James,Takashi Kobayashi,Yuki Eshita +16 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that the gene lethal(2)-essential-for-life encodes a potential anti-dengue protein in the vector mosquito.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impaired expression in da rats oe catalytically active p450btl, immunochemically distinguishable from p4502d1: immunological evidence with specific anti-peptide antibodies
Yukio Yamamoto,Akio Nakamura,Takafumi Tasaki,Shin Umeda,Chihiro Sugimoto,Susumu Imaoka,Yoshihiko Funae,Makihiko Masuda,Akio Kazusaka,Shoichi Fujita +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Epitope-Mapping of antigen-specific T lymphocyte in cattle immunized with recombinant major piroplasm surface protein of Theileria sergenti.
TL;DR: The cellular immune responses against major piroplasm surface protein of Theileria sergenti were characterized and immunization with cocktail vaccine consisting of different types of MPSP may be necessary in the field trial.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protein changes in bovine lymphoblastoid cells induced by infection with the intracellular parasite Theileria parva.
Chihiro Sugimoto,Lucy M. Mutharia,Patricia A. Conrad,T. T. Dolan,Wendy C. Brown,Bruno Goddeeris,Terry W. Pearson +6 more
TL;DR: Protein and glycoprotein changes induced in bovine lymphoblasts by infection with Theileria parva were analyzed by high-resolution two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and minor changes in protein and Glycoprotein patterns were observed.
