Photoexcitations of conjugated polymer-fullerene composites in conventional polymers
Christoph J. Brabec,V. P. Dyakonov,Niyazi Serdar Sariciftci,Wilhelm Graupner,Guenther Leising +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new approach to improve the processability of semiconducting polymers in their incorporation into host matrices formed by conventional polymers such as polyethylene (PE) or polystyrene (PS) was proposed.
Book ChapterDOI
Rare-Earth Ion-Based Photon Up-Conversion for Transmission-Loss Reduction in Solar Cells
TL;DR: In this paper, rare-earth ion-doped materials have been used in solar cells with the purpose to reduce transmission losses and achieve wide/full solar spectral harvesting and high-power conversion efficiency by converting unutilized subbandgap photons into sensitive resonant photons.

Material Properties of Laser-Welded Thin Silicon Foils
M.T. Hessmann,T. Kunz,Monika M. Voigt,K. Cvecek,Markus A. Schmidt,A. Bochmann,Silke Christiansen,Richard Auer,Christoph J. Brabec +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a comparison of three different approaches to weld 50 µm thin silicon foils is investigated: (1) laser spot welding with low constant feed speed, (2) laser line welding, and (3) keyhole welding.
