Journal ArticleDOI

Cytocompatibility, osseointegration, and bioactivity of three-dimensional porous and nanostructured network on polyetheretherketone.

TL;DR: The results reveal that the pre-osteoblast functions, bone growth, and apatite formation on the SPEEK surfaces are affected by many factors, including positive effects introduced by the 3D porous structure and SO3H groups as well as negative ones due to the low pH environment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Osteogenic ability of Cu‐bearing stainless steel

TL;DR: It was found that Cu-SS could inhibit the happening of inflammation with lower TNF-α expression in the bone tissue post implantation compared with 317L SS, indicating a unique application advantage in orthopedics.
Journal ArticleDOI

χ phase and its effect on the mechanical properties of a Mo-bearing high–Si austenitic stainless steel after aging at 650 °C

TL;DR: In this article , a Mo-bearing high-Si austenitic stainless steel was designed for lead-cooled fast reactor, and the precipitation behavior and mechanical properties of the experimental steel after 650 °C isothermal aging for 3000 h were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of thermal aging at 550 °C on microstructure and mechanical properties of a 9Cr martensitic steel with high silicon content

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of thermal aging at 550 °C on microstructure and mechanical properties of a 9Cr martensitic steel with high silicon content (named as HSi steel) was investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and tensile and impact test.
