Journal ArticleDOI
Multifunctions of Excited Gold Nanoparticles Decorated Artificial Kidney with Efficient Hemodialysis and Therapeutic Potential.
Hsiao Chien Chen,Chung Yi Cheng,Hsiu Chen Lin,Hsiu Chen Lin,Hsi Hsien Chen,Hsi Hsien Chen,Cheng Hsien Chen,Chih Ping Yang,Kai Huei Yang,Chun Mao Lin,Tsung Yao Lin,Chwen Ming Shih,Yu Chuan Liu +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, resonantly illuminated gold nanoparticles-modified artificial kidney (AuNPs@AK) for achieving high efficiency accompanying therapeutic strategy for CKD during HD is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical and Prognostic Implications of Transcription Factor SOX4 in Patients with Colon Cancer.
Chun Mao Lin,Chia Lang Fang,You-Cheng Hseu,Chun Liang Chen,Jin Wun Wang,Sheng Lung Hsu,Ming Dao Tu,Shih Ting Hung,Chein Tai,Yih Huei Uen,Kai Yuan Lin +10 more
TL;DR: Univariate Cox regression analysis showed that overexpression of nuclear SOX4 was a clear prognostic marker for colon cancer (P = 0.001) and may be used as a marker to predict the outcome of patients with colon cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Innovative strategy with potential to increase hemodialysis efficiency and safety
Hsiao Chien Chen,Hsiu Chen Lin,Hsi Hsien Chen,Fu Der Mai,Yu Chuan Liu,Chun Mao Lin,Chun Chao Chang,Hui Yen Tsai,Chih Ping Yang +8 more
TL;DR: In vitro HD experiments suggest that the treatment times for the removals of 70% BUN and Crea are reduced by 47 and 59%, respectively, using AuNT water instead of DI water in dialysate, while additionally suppressing NO release from lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Associations of Rsf-1 overexpression with poor therapeutic response and worse survival in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Hui Chun Tai,Hsuan-Ying Huang,Sung Wei Lee,Ching Yih Lin,Ming Jen Sheu,Shih-Lun Chang,Li Ching Wu,Yow-Ling Shiue,Wen Ren Wu,Chun Mao Lin,Chien Feng Li +10 more
TL;DR: Rsf-1 overexpression is common and is associated with adverse prognosticators and therapeutic response, which confers tumour aggressiveness through chromatin remodelling, and represents a potential prognostic biomarker in NPC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrophilic ester-bearing chlorogenic acid binds to a novel domain to inhibit xanthine oxidase
Shwu Huey Wang,Chien Shu Chen,Shih Hao Huang,Szu Hsu Yu,Zhi Yang Lai,Sheng-Tung Huang,Chun Mao Lin +6 more
TL;DR: Structural-based molecular modeling was performed to account for the different binding characteristics of the hydrophobic and hydrophilic esters of caffeic acid and provides the basis for interactions of caffeineic acid analogues with XO via various binding domains.
