Journal ArticleDOI

A new linkage for solid phase synthesis of oligodeoxyribonucleotides

TL;DR: An aryl diisocyanate has been used to attach an appropriately protected 2'-deoxyribonucleoside bearing a free 3'-hydroxyl group, to a long chain alkylamine controlled pore glass support via a urethane moiety, in a simple two step procedure.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Mechanism of Mutation Induction by a Hydrogen Bond Ambivalent, Bicyclic N4-oxy-2′-deoxycytidine in Escherichia coli

TL;DR: It is shown here that dP is a potent mutagen in Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium and that the resulting triphosphate induces a high rate of mutagenesis through replicational errors.

Tricyclic base analogues

TL;DR: The structure of nucleoside analogues have been studied in this article, where Q is H or a sugar moiety or sugar analogue or a modified sugar or a nucleic acid backbone or backbone analogue, W is an alkylene or alkenylene chain of 0-5 carbon atoms.
