Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and duplex stability of oligonucleotides containing adenine-guanine analogues

TL;DR: The melting transitions (Tm) show that the 17-mer duplexes containing Z.T and Z.C base-pairs have closely similar stabilities, as have those containing K.C pairs, which are less stable than the corresponding fully complementary duplexe, but more stable than those containing mismatched pairs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective reaction of methoxyamine with cytosine bases in tyrosine transfer ribonucleic acid.

TL;DR: Surprisingly, residue C-33, a base at the 5′ terminal of the anticodon loop, is relatively resistant to modification and is discussed in terms of transfer RNA conformation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lethal Mutagenesis of Poliovirus Mediated by a Mutagenic Pyrimidine Analogue

TL;DR: These studies suggest that rPMP prodrugs may be highly efficacious antiviral agents, and provide a new tool to determine the sensitivity of RNA virus genomes to mutagenesis as well as interrogation of the impact of mutational load on the population dynamics of these viruses.
Journal ArticleDOI

The structure of triphosphoinositide from beef brain.

TL;DR: The structure has been shown to be the same as that of the triphosphoinositide isolated from beef brain by a method which depends upon the extraction, purification and dissociation of a protein-inositide complex.
