Journal ArticleDOI

Helicobacter pylori: the gastric cancer problem.

TL;DR: There is now considerable evidence in support of an aetiological association between Helicobacter pylori infection and gastric cancer and much that remains to be established about the relation.
Journal Article

Plasma pepsinogens, nutrients, and diet in areas of Italy at varying gastric cancer risk.

TL;DR: Severe CAG was 5 times more common in areas with high compared to low rates of GC, but was not strongly associated with diet or plasma nutrients and the authors discuss these findings in relation to those from a previous case-control study of GC in the same areas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Variation in human genetic polymorphisms, their association with Helicobacter pylori acquisition and gastric cancer in a multi-ethnic country.

TL;DR: The association between polymorphisms related to immune and cancer‐related pathways and H. pylori infection among the major ethnicities, Chinese, Malay and Indian, resident in Singapore and Malaysia as well as the association between these polymorphisms and GC development in ethnic Chinese patients are investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

The epidemiology of bone cancer in 0 - 39 year olds in northern England, 1981 - 2002

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors described incidence and survival patterns for bone cancers diagnosed during 1981 - 2002 using Poisson and Cox regressions, and analyzed cases aged 0 - 39 years (236 osteosarcomas, 166 Ewing sarcomas and 73 chondrosarcoma).
