Success Using Neuromodulation With BURST (SUNBURST) Study: Results From a Prospective, Randomized Controlled Trial Using a Novel Burst Waveform.
Timothy R. Deer,Konstantin V. Slavin,Kasra Amirdelfan,Richard B. North,Allen W. Burton,Thomas L. Yearwood,Ed Tavel,Peter S. Staats,Steven M. Falowski,Jason E. Pope,Rafael Justiz,Alain Y. Fabi,Alexander Taghva,Richard Paicius,Timothy Houden,Derron Wilson +15 more
TL;DR: The purpose of the multicenter, randomized, unblinded, crossover Success Using Neuromodulation with BURST (SUNBURST) study was to determine the safety and efficacy of a device delivering both traditional tonic stimulation and burst stimulation to patients with chronic pain of the trunk and/or limbs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Levy,Nagy Mekhail +35 more
TL;DR: The Neuromodulation Appropriateness Consensus Committee reconvened to develop the best practices consensus document for the selection, implantation and use of DRG stimulation for the treatment of chronic pain syndromes.

Gynecologic cancers metastatic to the breast
David H. Moore,Derron Wilson,Jean A. Hurteau,Katherine Y. Look,Frederick B. Stehman,Gregory P. Sutton +5 more
TL;DR: Primary breast malignancy should be suspected in any patient with a breast tumor and a known history of gynecologic cancer, and a breast metastasis implies widespread tumor dissemination and a poor prognosis should be avoided.
Journal ArticleDOI

Levy +31 more
TL;DR: The Neuro Stimulation Appropriateness Consensus Committee (NACC) project as discussed by the authors provides evidence-based guidance for these often-overlooked areas of neurostimulation practice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultra-Low Energy Cycled Burst Spinal Cord Stimulation Yields Robust Outcomes in Pain, Function, and Affective Domains: A Subanalysis From Two Prospective, Multicenter, International Clinical Trials.
Timothy R. Deer,Derron Wilson,David M. Schultz,Steven M. Falowski,Ed Tavel,Gregory F. Moore,Robert Heros,Denis G. Patterson,Marie E Fahey,Robyn A. Capobianco,Magdalena Anitescu +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the utility of intermittently cycled burst was evaluated using data from two large real-world prospective studies (TRIUMPH, REALITY), where subjects used intermittent dosing in a 1:3 ratio (30 sec on, 90 sec off, N = 100) in TRIUMPH and 1:12 ratio in REALITY (30-sec on, 360sec off; N = 95) for six months.
