Journal ArticleDOI

Palmer LTER: Patterns of distribution of five dominant zooplankton species in the epipelagic zone west of the Antarctic Peninsula, 1993–2004

TL;DR: The results suggest that for these species, several environmental controls on distribution and abundance were linked to seasonal sea-ice dynamics, and suggested that salps have been more consistently present across the shelf from 1999 to present, and that the range of L. helicina has been expanding.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanism study of the ENSO and southern high latitude climate teleconnections

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a regional mean meridional atmospheric circulation (the regional Ferrel cell) responsible for the covariability of the ENSO and Antarctic Dipole (ADP) signal in the southern high latitudes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Late Quaternary deep-ocean circulation

TL;DR: A review of recent studies dealing with late Quaternary deep-water circulation in the oceans is presented in this article, which is based on the analysis of deep-sea benthic foraminiferal faunal and geochemical data and sedimentological data.
Book ChapterDOI
