Katrina J. Debnam,Cheryl L. Holt,Eddie M. Clark,David L. Roth,Herman R. Foushee,Martha R. Crowther,Mona N. Fouad,Penny L. Southward +7 more

Journal ArticleDOI
Sociosexual Orientation, Commitment, and Infidelity: A Mediation Analysis
Brent A. Mattingly,Eddie M. Clark,Daniel J. Weidler,Melinda Bullock,Jana Hackathorn,Katheryn Blankmeyer +5 more

Journal ArticleDOI
Weight locus of control and weight-related attitudes and behaviors in an overweight population.
TL;DR: The WLOC scores predicted responses to baseline weight-related measures such as etiology of obesity, confidence in weight loss behaviors, and behavioral intention, as well as participants' reactions to the HEM and the actual number of weight loss ideas that the participants tried by the 1-month follow-up assessment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Religious involvement and physical and emotional functioning among African Americans: The mediating role of religious support
TL;DR: In both the emotional functioning and depressive symptoms models, the indirect effect test from religious behaviours to emotional religious support indicated evidence for mediation, and there was no mediation for the physical functioning model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expansion and validation of the spiritual health locus of control scale: factorial analysis and predictive validity.
TL;DR: An expanded scale assessing spiritual health locus of control beliefs provides an in-depth assessment of beliefs regarding the role of God in one's health, and may be useful for the development of church-based health education serving African Americans.
