Journal ArticleDOI

One-pot synthesis and characterization of size-controlled bimagnetic FePt-iron oxide heterodimer nanocrystals.

TL;DR: It has been found that, as a consequence of the exchange coupling between the two materials, the HNCs exhibit tunable single-phase-like magnetic behavior, distinct from that of their individual components.
Journal ArticleDOI

CX3CL1 Is Neuroprotective in Permanent Focal Cerebral Ischemia in Rodents

TL;DR: It is suggested that acute administration of CX3CL1 reduces ischemic damage via an adenosine-dependent mechanism and that the absence of constitutive CX2CL1–CX3CR1 signaling changes the outcome of microglia-mediated effects during CX 3CL1 administration to ischeMIC brain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Paclitaxel Enhances Therapeutic Efficacy of the F8-IL2 Immunocytokine to EDA-Fibronectin–Positive Metastatic Human Melanoma Xenografts

TL;DR: It is shown that the antibody F8, which recognizes perivascular and stromal EDA-fibronectin (EDA-Fn), when conjugated to interleukin-2 (F8-IL2) can effectively inhibit the growth of EDA -Fn-expressing melanomas in combination with paclitaxel, supporting the use of immunochemotherapy in the treatment of metastatic melanoma.
