Influence of chain extender length of aromatic dimethacrylates on polymer network development.

TL;DR: The role of chain extender size from Bis-EMA monomers on the polymerization profiles and properties of the crosslinked polymers was investigated to find aromatic dimethacrylates with different chain extenders can be a useful alternative in controlling the properties of a dental material, adjusting those to specific applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

A double blind randomized clinical trial of at-home tooth bleaching using two carbamide peroxide concentrations: 6-month follow-up

TL;DR: The Whitening effect remained similar 6-month after the bleaching treatment for both carbamide peroxide concentrations tested, and the high consumption of staining beverages and foods reported by patients had no influence in the whitening effect longevity at 6- month.
Journal Article

Survival rates of endodontically treated teeth restored with fiber-reinforced custom posts and cores: a 97-month study.

TL;DR: The results suggest that polyethylene fiber-reinforced posts with composite cores may be recommended for clinical use and presented high survival rates after the 97-month follow-up period.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of guidelines to improve the quality and transparency of reporting oral health research.

TL;DR: Endorsement and robust implementation of reporting guidelines will translate into improved and more complete reporting in health research, and by ingraining the use of guidelines, it may be possible to indirectly improve the methodological quality of clinical studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-Year Clinical Performance of Composite Restorations Placed by Undergraduate Dental Students

TL;DR: Most restorations placed by dental students were considered satisfactory after long-term evaluation, and loss of the restoration and deficient marginal adaptation were the main causes of failure.
