Journal ArticleDOI
Photoreactions at 3655 Angstrom between pyrimidine bases and skin-photosensitizing furocoumarins.
TL;DR: In this article, a new photocompound was obtained by column chromatography, which contained a furocoumarin and a pyrimidine-moiety linked together by the formation of a cyclobutane ring.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photoreactions at 3655 å linking the 3–4 double bond of furocoumarins with pyrimidine bases
Journal ArticleDOI
6-Methylangelicins: a new series of potential photochemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of psoriasis.
Andrea Guiotto,Paolo Rodighiero,P. Manzini,Giovanni Pastorini,Franco Bordin,Francarosa Baccichetti,Francesco Carlassare,Daniela Vedaldi,Francesco Dall'Acqua,M. Tamaro +9 more
TL;DR: Two compounds chosen on the basis of antiproliferative activity, lack of skin phototoxicity, and low mutagenicity, and two compounds tested on seven psoriatic patients by topical application and UV-A irradiation proved to be more effective than 8-MOP, used in the same conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Angelicins, angular analogs of psoralens: chemistry, photochemical, photobiological and phototherapeutic properties.
TL;DR: The ability of some angelicins to induce photocarcinogenesis has been reviewed as well as in the activity as photochemotherapeutic agents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pt(II) and Pd(II) derivatives of ter-butylsarcosinedithiocarbamate. Synthesis, chemical and biological characterization and in vitro nephrotoxicity.
Dolores Fregona,Lorena Giovagnini,Luca Ronconi,Christine Marzano,Andrea Trevisan,Sergio Sitran,Barbara Biondi,Franco Bordin +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis, characterization and biological activity of new coordination compounds of the type [M(TSDTM)X 2 ] (M=Pt(II), Pd(II); X=Cl, Br; TSDTM= ter-butylsarcosine(S -methyl)dithiocarbamate) and [Pd(TSDT)X] n (TSDT= ter -butyl sarcosinedithIocaramate) in order to study their behavior as potential antitumor agents.
