Effects of metal contamination on the activity and diversity of springtails in an ancient Pb-Zn mining area at Plombières, Belgium
TL;DR: Despite the high total soil concentrations of zinc, springtails were still quite abundant at all sampling sites, probably caused by the low bioavailability of zinc to the springtails in the soils of the study sites.

Acceptance of two native myrmecophilous species, Platyarthrus hoffmannseggii (Isopoda: Oniscidea) and Cyphoderus albinus (Collembola: Cyphoderidae) by the introduced invasive garden ant Lasius neglectus (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) in Belgium
TL;DR: The first record of both myrmecophiles in nests of the invasive garden ant Lasius neglectus in the Citadelpark of Ghent, Belgium is reported.
