Journal ArticleDOI

Normal prenatal but arrested postnatal sexual development of luteinizing hormone receptor knockout (LuRKO) mice.

TL;DR: The LuRKO mouse is a close phenocopy of recently characterized human patients with inactivating LHR mutations, although the lack of pseudohermaphroditism in LuR KO males suggests that the intrauterine sex differentiation in this species is not dependent on LH action.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel Expression and Functional Role of Ghrelin in Rat Testis

TL;DR: The present results underscore an unexpected role of ghrelin as signal with ability to potentially modulate not only growth and body weight homeostasis but also reproductive function, a phenomenon also demonstrated recently for the adipocyte-derived hormone, leptin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Androgen receptor and androgen-dependent gene expression in lung.

TL;DR: It is shown that Ar is mainly expressed in type II pneumocytes and the bronchial epithelium of murine lung and that androgen treatment increases AR protein levels in lung cells and suggests that AR plays a role in lung cancer biology.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sumo-1 Function Is Dispensable in Normal Mouse Development

TL;DR: The results support the notion that most, if not all, Sumo-1 functions are compensated for in vivo by SUMO-2 andSumo-3, and that the development and function of testis are normal in the absence of SumO-1.
