Luminogenic materials constructed from tetraphenylethene building blocks: Synthesis, aggregation-induced emission, two-photon absorption, light refraction, and explosive detection
Rongrong Hu,José-Luis Maldonado,Mario Rodríguez,Chunmei Deng,Cathy Ka Wai Jim,Jacky Wing Yip Lam,Matthew Ming Fai Yuen,Gabriel Ramos-Ortiz,Ben Zhong Tang,Ben Zhong Tang +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the conjugation of the luminophores is in the order of 2 > 3 > 1, P2 > P3 > P1, and P1−P3 > 1−3.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stereoselective synthesis, efficient light emission, and high bipolar charge mobility of chiasmatic luminogens
Zujin Zhao,Jacky Wing Yip Lam,Carrie Yin Kwan Chan,Shuming Chen,Jianzhao Liu,Ping Lu,Mario Rodríguez,José-Luis Maldonado,Gabriel Ramos-Ortiz,Herman H. Y. Sung,Ian D. Williams,Huimin Su,Kam Sing Wong,Yuguang Ma,Hoi Sing Kwok,Huayu Qiu,Ben Zhong Tang +16 more
TL;DR: Stereoregular tetraphenylethene derivatives (Z)-o-BCaPTPE and (Z-o-BTPATPE featured with chiasmatic conformations and aggregation-enhanced emission characteristics are synthesized using a McMurry reaction as both the light-emitting and electron-transporting layers show high efficiencies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Red Emissive Biocompatible Nanoparticles from Tetraphenylethene‐Decorated BODIPY Luminogens for Two‐Photon Excited Fluorescence Cellular Imaging and Mouse Brain Blood Vascular Visualization
Zujin Zhao,Bin Chen,Junlong Geng,Zhengfeng Chang,Laura Aparicio-Ixta,Han Nie,Chi Ching Goh,Lai Guan Ng,Anjun Qin,Gabriel Ramos-Ortiz,Bin Liu,Ben Zhong Tang,Ben Zhong Tang +12 more
TL;DR: The incorporation of AIE‐active TPE units alleviates aggregation‐caused quenching of BODIPy core, furnishing emissive nanoparticles based on TPE‐BODIPY adducts that function well in TPEF cellular imaging and mouse brain blood vascular visualization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Silole-Based Red Fluorescent Organic Dots for Bright Two-Photon Fluorescence In vitro Cell and In vivo Blood Vessel Imaging.
Bin Chen,Guangxue Feng,Bairong He,Chiching Goh,Shidang Xu,Gabriel Ramos-Ortiz,Laura Aparicio-Ixta,Jian Zhou,Lai Guan Ng,Zujin Zhao,Zujin Zhao,Bin Liu,Ben Zhong Tang,Ben Zhong Tang +13 more
TL;DR: These organic dots fabricated by encapsulating (MesB)2 DTTPS within lipid-PEG show good biocompatibility and are successfully applied to one-photon and two- photon fluorescence imaging of MCF-7 cells and in vivo visualization of the blood vascular of mouse muscle in a high-contrast and noninvasive manner.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of alkali metal oxides R2O (R = Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs) and network intermediate MO (M = Zn, Mg, Ba and Pb) in tellurite glasses
TL;DR: In this article, a systematic characterization of optical, chemical and thermo-mechanical properties of R2O-MO-TeO2 glasses as function of alkali metals as network modifiers and network intermediate was performed.
