Sanders,Karolina Socha,Rebecca Terry,Anne E Urai,Hernando Vergara,Miles J. Wells,Christian J Wilson,Ilana B. Witten,Lauren E Wool,Anthony M. Zador +37 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors designed a task for head-fixed mice that combines established assays of perceptual and value-based decision making, and standardized training protocol and experimental hardware, software, and procedures.

Churchland,Yang Dan,Eric Dewitt,Mayo Faulkner,Hamish Forrest,Laura Haetzel,Michael Häusser,Sonja B. Hofer,Fei Hu,Anup Khanal,Christopher S. Krasniak,Ines Laranjeira,Zachary F. Mainen,Guido T. Wells,Christian J Wilson,Ilana B. Witten,Lauren E Wool,Anthony M. Zador +35 more
TL;DR: It is shown that a standardized task to probe decision-making in mice produces reproducible results across multiple laboratories, and this work establishes a standard for reproducible rodent behavior and indicates a path towards achieving reproducibility in neuroscience through collaborative open-science approaches.

Reproducibility of in-vivo electrophysiological measurements in mice
Kush Banga,Julius Benson,Niccolò Bonacchi,Sebastian Brings,Rob Campbell,Gaelle Chapuis,Anne K. Churchland,M. Felicia Davatolhagh,Hyun Dong Lee,Mayo Faulkner,Fei Hu,Julia Hunterberg,Anup Khanal,Christopher S. Krasniak,Guido T. Meijer,Nathaniel J. Wells,Steven West,Matthew R Whiteway,Olivier Winter +29 more
TL;DR: It is found that neuronal yield, firing rates, spike amplitudes, and task-modulated neuronal activity were reproducible across laboratories, and across-lab standardization of electrophysiological procedures can lead to reproducible results across labs.

Data architecture and visualization for a large-scale neuroscience collaboration
Niccolò Bonacchi,Gaelle Chapuis,Anne K. Churchland,Kenneth D. M. Harris,Cyrille Rossant,Maho Sasaki,Shan Shen,Nicholas A. Steinmetz,Edgar Y. Walker,Olivier Winter,Miles J. Wells +10 more
TL;DR: A novel, modular architecture is reported that allows users to contribute, access, and analyze data across this collaboration of ten experimental labs spanning 7 geographically distributed sites to measure neural activity across the brains of mice making perceptual decisions.
