TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared perioperative outcomes of simultaneous colon resection and HAI pump (HAIP) placement versus HAIP placement alone and found that grade 1-2 complications were more common in patients who underwent simultaneous colectomy and HAIP placements (36.8% vs 19.0%, P < 0.001).
