Six Months Follow-Up of Patients with Invasive Mechanical Ventilation due to COVID-19 Related ARDS.
Ayham Daher,Christian Cornelissen,Niels-Ulrik Korbinian Hartmann,Paul Balfanz,Annegret Müller,Ingmar Bergs,Maria Aetou,Nikolaus Marx,Gernot Marx,Tim-Philipp Simon,Dirk Müller-Wieland,Bojan Hartmann,Alexander Kersten,Tobias Müller,Michael Dreher +14 more
TL;DR: The follow-up data of those who have survived COVID-19-related acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is still very scarce as discussed by the authors, therefore, patients who have undergone invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) were followed six months after discharge and Pulmonary function tests (PFTs), 6-min walk test (6MWT) and echocardiography were performed.
Journal ArticleDOI
SLPI - a Biomarker of Acute Kidney Injury after Open and Endovascular Thoracoabdominal Aortic Aneurysm (TAAA) Repair
Luisa Averdunk,Marcia Viviane Rückbeil,Alexander Zarbock,Lukas Martin,Gernot Marx,Houman Jalaie,Michael J. Jacobs,Christian Stoppe,Alexander Gombert +8 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that SLPI might be a post-operative biomarker of AKI after TAAA repair, with a superior diagnostic accuracy for patients without preexisting impaired renal function.
Journal ArticleDOI
Favorable COVID-19 course despite significant comorbidities in a ruxolitinib-treated patient with primary myelofibrosis.
Steffen Koschmieder,Edgar Jost,Christian Cornelissen,Tobias Müller,Maximilian Schulze-Hagen,Johannes Bickenbach,Gernot Marx,Michael Kleines,Nikolaus Marx,Tim H. Brümmendorf,Michael Dreher +10 more
TL;DR: Clinical evidence that ruxolitinib treatment is feasible and can be beneficial in patients with COVID‐19 pneumonia, preventing cytokine storm and ARDS is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulsoxymetrie und Kapnometrie bei Intensivtransporten: Kombinierter Einsatz verringert das Transportrisiko
TL;DR: The combination of pulse oximetry and capnometry offers the possibility to detect potentially life-threatening problems in ventilated patients during transport and may help to reduce the risk of transports.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monitoring circulating dipeptidyl peptidase 3 (DPP3) predicts improvement of organ failure and survival in sepsis: a prospective observational multinational study.
Alice Blet,Alice Blet,Benjamin Deniau,Karine Santos,Dirk van Lier,Feriel Azibani,Xavier Wittebole,Benjamin G. Chousterman,Etienne Gayat,Oliver Hartmann,Joachim Struck,Andreas Bergmann,Massimo Antonelli,Albertus Beishuizen,Jean-Michel Constantin,Charles Damoisel,Nicolas Deye,Nicolas Deye,Salvatore Di Somma,Thierry Dugernier,Bruno François,Stéphane Gaudry,Vincent Huberlant,Jean-Baptiste Lascarrou,Gernot Marx,Emmanuelle Mercier,Haikel Oueslati,Peter Pickkers,Romain Sonneville,Matthieu Legrand,Pierre-François Laterre,Alexandre Mebazaa,AdrenOSS study investigators +32 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a prospective observational multinational study in twenty-four ICU centers in five countries was conducted to assess relationships between Dipeptidyl peptidase 3 (DPP3) during the initial ICU stay and short-term outcome in the AdrenOSS-1.
