Journal ArticleDOI
Methylated HNRNPK acts on RPS19 to regulate ALOX15 synthesis in erythropoiesis.
Isabel S. Naarmann-de Vries,Roberta Senatore,Bodo Moritz,Gernot Marx,Henning Urlaub,Henning Urlaub,Dierk Niessing,Dirk H. Ostareck,Antje Ostareck-Lederer +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, three independent screens were applied to elucidate how HNRNPK interferes with 80S ribosome assembly, and they consistently demonstrated a differential interaction of HNR NPK with RPS19, which is localized at the head of the 40S subunit and extends into its functional center.
Posted ContentDOI
Computational simulation of virtual patients reduces dataset bias and improves machine learning-based detection of ARDS from noisy heterogeneous ICU datasets
Konstantin Sharafutdinov,Sebastian Fritsch,Marc Iravani,Pejman Farhadi Ghalati,Sina Saffaran,David W. Bates,Jonathan G. Hardman,R. Polzin,Hannah Mayer,Gernot Marx,Jerome Bickenbach,Andreas Schuppert +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors demonstrate how mechanistic virtual patient (VP) modeling can be used to capture specific features of patients' states and dynamics, while reducing biases introduced by heterogeneous datasets.
Journal ArticleDOI
DIVI-Empfehlung zur Struktur und Ausstattung von Intensivstationen 2022 (Erwachsene)
Christian Waydhas,Reimer Riessen,Andreas Markewitz,F. Hoffmann,Lorenz Frey,Bernd W. Böttiger,Sebastian Brenner,Teresa Deffner,Matthias Deininger,Uwe Janssens,Stefan Kluge,Gernot Marx,Stefan Schwab,Andreas Unterberg,Felix Walcher,Thomas van den Hooven +15 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Haemoglobin value and red blood cell transfusions in prolonged weaning from mechanical ventilation: a retrospective observational study
TL;DR: The need for RBC transfusion was independently associated with weaning failure and it is unclear whether the transfusion itself should be considered an independent risk factor or an additional symptom of a persistent critical patient condition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Predicting COVID-19 prognosis in the ICU remained challenging: external validation in a multinational regional cohort
D. Meijs,Sander M. J. van Kuijk,Laure Wynants,Björn Stessel,Jannet Mehagnoul-Schipper,Anisa Hana,C.I.E. Scheeren,Dennis C J J Bergmans,Johannes Bickenbach,Margot Vander Laenen,Luc J.M. Smits,Iwan C. De Boer +31 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the Euregio Intensive Care COVID (EICC) cohort was selected and validated prognostic models in the EICC cohort, and a random-effects meta-analysis was used to pool results.
