Prolonged presence of SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA in faecal samples.
Yongjian Wu,Cheng Guo,Lantian Tang,Zhongsi Hong,Jianhui Zhou,Xin Dong,Huan Yin,Qiang Xiao,Yanping Tang,Xiujuan Qu,Liangjian Kuang,Xiaomin Fang,Nischay Mishra,Jiahai Lu,Hong Shan,Guanmin Jiang,Xi Huang +16 more
TL;DR: Real-time RT-PCR results of all respiratory and faecal samples from patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) at the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Zhuhai, China, throughout the course of their illness and obligated quarantine period show associations that should be interpreted with caution because of the possibility of confounding.

Evidence for gastrointestinal infection of SARS-CoV-2
Fei Xiao,Meiwen Tang,Xiaobin Zheng,Chunna Li,Jianzhong He,Zhongsi Hong,Siwen Huang,Zhenyi Zhang,Xianqi Lin,Zhaoxiong Fang,Renxu Lai,Shoudeng Chen,Jing Liu,Jin Huang,Jinyu Xia,Zhonghe Li,Guanmin Jiang,Ye Liu,Xiaofeng Li,Hong Shan +19 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided for gastrointestinal infection of SARS-CoV-2, highlighting its potential fecal-oral transmission route and positive immunofluorescent staining of viral host receptor ACE2 and viral nucleocapsid protein in a case of Sars-Co V-2 infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
TGF-β induces M2-like macrophage polarization via SNAIL-mediated suppression of a pro-inflammatory phenotype
Fan Zhang,Fan Zhang,Hong-Sheng Wang,Xian-Feng Wang,Guanmin Jiang,Hao Liu,Ge Zhang,Hao Wang,Rui Fang,Xianzhang Bu,Shaohui Cai,Jun Du +11 more
TL;DR: It is found that TGF-β induces a M2-like phenotype characterized by up-regulation of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10, and down- regulation of the pro- inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-12, which suggests a potential therapeutic target for antitumor immunity.
Journal ArticleDOI
m 6 A-induced lncRNA RP11 triggers the dissemination of colorectal cancer cells via upregulation of Zeb1
Yingmin Wu,Xiangling Yang,Zhuojia Chen,Lin Tian,Guanmin Jiang,Feng Chen,Jiexin Li,Panpan An,Linlin Lu,Nan Luo,Jun Du,Hong Shan,Huanliang Liu,Hong-Sheng Wang +13 more
TL;DR: m6A-induced lncRNA RP11 can trigger the dissemination of CRC cells via post-translational upregulation of Zeb1, and clinical analysis showed that m6A can regulate the expression of RP11.
Journal ArticleDOI
The relationship between autophagy and the immune system and its applications for tumor immunotherapy
Guanmin Jiang,Yuan Tan,Hao Wang,Liang Peng,Hong-Tao Chen,Xiao-Jun Meng,Ling-Ling Li,Yan Liu,Wen-Fang Li,Hong Shan +9 more
TL;DR: Increasing studies have proven the optimal use of either ATG inducers or inhibitors can restrain tumor growth and progression by enhancing anti-tumor immune responses and overcoming the anti- Tournaisian immune resistance in combination with several immunotherapeutic strategies, indicating that induction or inhibition of autophagy might show a prospective therapeutic strategy when combined with immunotherapy.
