KCNQ2 and KCNQ3 Potassium Channel Subunits: Molecular Correlates of the M-Channel
Hong-Sheng Wang,Zongming Pan,Wenmei Shi,Barry S. Brown,Randy S. Wymore,Ira S. Cohen,Jane E. Dixon,David McKinnon +7 more
TL;DR: The biophysical properties, sensitivity to pharmacological blockade, and expression pattern of the KCNQ2 andKCNQ3 potassium channels were determined and it was concluded that both these subunits contribute to the native M-current.
Channel Subunits: Molecular Correlates of the M-Channel
Hong-Sheng Wang,Zongming Pan,Wenmei Shi,Barry S. Brown,Randy S. Wymore,Ira S. Cohen,Jane E. Dixon,David McKinnon +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Role of the Kv4.3 K+ Channel in Ventricular Muscle: A Molecular Correlate for the Transient Outward Current
Jane E. Dixon,Wenmei Shi,Hong-Sheng Wang,Christine McDonald,Hangang Yu,Randy S. Wymore,Ira S. Cohen,David McKinnon +7 more
TL;DR: There are significant differences in the pattern of K+ channel expression in canine heart, compared with rat heart, and these differences may be an adaptation to the different requirements for cardiac function in mammals of markedly different sizes.
Journal ArticleDOI
RNA m 6 A methylation regulates the epithelial mesenchymal transition of cancer cells and translation of Snail.
Xinyao Lin,Guo-Shi Chai,Yingmin Wu,Jiexin Li,Feng Chen,Jianzhao Liu,Guan-Zheng Luo,Guan-Zheng Luo,Jordi Tauler,Jun Du,Shuibin Lin,Chuan He,Hong-Sheng Wang +12 more
TL;DR: It is shown that m6A methylation of Snail mRNA regulates its translation with potential effects on epithelial mesenchymal transition, and the upregulation of METTL3 and YTHDF1 act as adverse prognosis factors for overall survival rate of liver cancer patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in urban surface dust of Guangzhou, China: Status, sources and human health risk assessment
Wei Wang,Min juan Huang,Yuan Kang,Hong-Sheng Wang,Anna Oi Wah Leung,Kwai Chung Cheung,Ming Hung Wong,Ming Hung Wong +7 more
TL;DR: Ninety-six urban surface dust samples collected from Guangzhou, a typical urban center in South China, were analyzed for PAHs, and four hotspots with highest ∑PAHs were identified via kriging prediction mapping, representing the highly-urbanized regions.
