In vitro in-stent restenoses evaluated by 3D ultrasound.
TL;DR: 3D freehand U.S. imaging with 3D B mode and power Doppler ultrasound (U.S.) is a valuable method to quantify in-stent restenoses, particularly in B mode, and it is thus hoped that, in the clinical setting, noninvasive 3D U.s. may provide sufficient precision to grade in- Stent Restenoses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acousto-electrical speckle pattern in Lorentz force electrical impedance tomography
Pol Grasland-Mongrain,François Destrempes,Jean Martial Mari,Rémi Souchon,Rémi Souchon,Stefan Catheline,Stefan Catheline,Jean-Yves Chapelon,Jean-Yves Chapelon,Cyril Lafon,Cyril Lafon,Guy Cloutier +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a bovine muscle sample was imaged using ultrasound and electrical impedance tomography, and similar speckle patterns were observed, but due to electrical impedance inhomogeneities instead of acoustic ones.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intraluminal Ultrasonic Palpation Imaging Technique Revisited for Anisotropic Characterization of Healthy and Atherosclerotic Coronary Arteries: A Feasibility Study
Armida Gómez,Antoine Tacheau,Gérard Finet,Manuel Lagache,Jean-Louis Martiel,Simon Le Floc'h,Saami K. Yazdani,Alex Elías-Zúñiga,Roderic I. Pettigrew,Guy Cloutier,Jacques Ohayon +10 more
TL;DR: This new anisotropic elasticity-palpography technique was successfully applied to characterize ten coronary plaque and one healthy vessel geometries of patients imaged in vivo with intravascular ultrasound and revealed that the anisotropy index-palPograms were estimated with a good accuracy.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Catheter-based time-gated near-infrared fluorescence/OCT imaging system
TL;DR: In this article, a dual-modality intravascular imaging system based on fast time-gated fluorescence intensity imaging and spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) was developed for the purpose of interventional detection of atherosclerosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of Inter-Expert Variability and of an Automated Segmentation Method of 40 and 60 MHz IVUS Images of Coronary Arteries.
François Destrempes,Marie Hélène Roy Cardinal,Yoshifumi Saijo,Gérard Finet,Jean-Claude Tardif,Guy Cloutier +5 more
TL;DR: The objectives were to compare the performance of a segmentation algorithm, based on the minimization of an uncertainty function, to delineate contours of external elastic membrane and lumen of human coronary arteries imaged with 40 and 60 MHz IVUS, and to use values of this function to delineates portions of contours with highest uncertainty.
