Dual‐wavelength passively Q‐switched Erbium Ytterbium codoped fiber laser based on a nonlinear polarization rotation technique
TL;DR: In this paper, a dual-wavelength Erbium ytterbium codoped fiber laser (EYDFL) operating at 1543.3 and 1545.4 nm using a nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) technique was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Generation of four-wave mixing with nonlinear Vanadium-carbide (V2C)-deposited side-polished fiber (SPF) in 1.5- and 2.0-µm wavelength operation
Rubem de Mesquita Valadares,Harith Ahmad,Harith Ahmad,A.A. Kamely,Muhammad Khairol Annuar Zaini,M.Z. Samion,Wu Yi Chong,A.K. Zamzuri,Kok-Sing Lim +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of V2C-deposited SPF as a nonlinear device for the generation of four-wave mixing (FWM) effect in 1.5- and 2.0-µm wavelength operation was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Broadband tuning in a passively Q-switched erbium doped fiber laser (EDFL) via multiwall carbon nanotubes/polyvinyl alcohol (MWCNT/PVA) saturable absorber
Harith Ahmad,Harith Ahmad,S.N.M. Hassan,Fauzan Ahmad,Mohd Zamani Zulkifli,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +5 more
TL;DR: An MWCNT/PVA-based Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) that uses a tunable bandpass filter (TBPF) as the wavelength tuning and filtering mechanism to achieve a broadband tuning range is proposed and demonstrated in this paper.
Design of multimode tapered fibre sensor for glucose detection
Moh. Yasin,Harith Ahmad,Kavintheran Thambiratnam,Ali Abdulhadi Jasim,Sook Wai Phang,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +5 more
TL;DR: From this work, the tapered PMM fibre performs better in terms of its linearity, and provides a reliable calibration graph of glucose concentration against output signal, and has a better sensitivity, error and a better resolution but a lesser degree of linearity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Demonstration of microfiber hybrid Mach–Zehnder and knot resonator structure
A. Sulaiman,Sulaiman Wadi Harun,Fauzan Ahmad,Fauzan Ahmad,M.Z. Muhammad,Ali Abdulhadi Jasim,Harith Ahmad +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a microfiber hybrid structure consisting of a micro-fiber knot resonator (MKR) and a micro fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MMZI) was demonstrated.
