Silicon racetrack resonator based on nonlinear material
Mohammad Mehdi Ariannejad,Elnaz Akbari,Pui Yee Thong,Masih Ghasemi,Arash Dehzangi,Harith Ahmad +5 more
TL;DR: For modeling the nonlinear effect on the race track structure, the 2D, FDTD has been utilized to overcome the reliability of the results the var-FDTD was considered using 2.5D algorithm.
Journal Article
Single mode EDF fiber laser using an ultra-narrow bandwidth tunable optical filter
Nor Farhah Razak,Harith Ahmad,Mohd Zamani Zulkifli,F.D. Muhammad,Yusof Munajat,Sulaiman Wadi Harun +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a single longitudinal mode (SLM) erbium-doped fiber (EDF) laser operation using a commercialized ultra-narrow bandwidth optical filter has been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles on D-shaped fiber as saturable absorber
TL;DR: In this paper, short Q-switching laser pulses are generated by dropcasting two-dimensional Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles as saturable absorbers (SA) on a side polished optical fiber.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
An efficient double-pass Bismuth-based erbium-doped fiber amplifier
TL;DR: In this paper, an efficient Bismuth-based erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) was demonstrated using adouble-pass configuration, which utilizes the double propagation of the signal provided using an optical circulator at the output end of the EDF.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Output Coupling Reflectivity on Performance of L-band Erbium-doped Fiber Laser
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of output coupling reflectivity on performance of L-band erbium-doped fiber laser was demonstrated and it was shown that an increase of reflectivity induces operating wavelength to shift to a longer wavelength.
