Journal ArticleDOI
Citotoxicidad y genotoxicidad en células humanas expuestas in vitro a glifosato
TL;DR: This article evaluated the genotoxicidad of glifosato in celulas humanas normales (GM38) and humanas humanas de fibrosarcoma (HT1080).
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA damage and repair in cells of lead exposed people.
TL;DR: Although the single strand breaks following irradiation were not affected by blood lead concentration, the metal seems to sensitize the cells to damage induced by other genotoxicants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Journal ArticleDOI
A revertant of the major founder Native American haplogroup C common in populations from northern South America.
Maria Mercedes Torres,Claudio M. Bravi,Maria Cátira Bortolini,Constanza Duque,Sidia M. Callegari-Jacques,Daniel Ortiz,Gabriel Bedoya,Helena Groot de Restrepo,Andres Ruiz-Linares,Andres Ruiz-Linares +9 more
TL;DR: The mtDNA RFLP diversity of 17 Native American populations from Colombia was examined and genetic structure analyses are consistent with the reversion mutation occurring at an early stage during the tribalization process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inter-laboratory consistency and variability in the buccal micronucleus cytome assay depends on biomarker scored and laboratory experience: results from the HUMNxl international inter-laboratory scoring exercise
Claudia Bolognesi,Siegfried Knasmueller,Armen Nersesyan,Paola Roggieri,Marcello Ceppi,Marco Bruzzone,Ewa Blaszczyk,Danuta Mielzynska-Svach,Mirta Milić,Stefano Bonassi,Danieli Benedetti,Juliana da Silva,Raphael Toledo,Daisy Maria Favero Salvadori,Helena Groot de Restrepo,Metka Filipič,Klara Hercog,Ayça Aktas,Sema Burgaz,Michael Kundi,Tamara Grummt,Philip Thomas,Maryam Hor,Maria Escudero-Fung,Nina Holland,Michael Fenech +25 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that all laboratories correctly discriminated samples from the two groups by a significant increase of micronucleus (MN) and nuclear bud (NBUD) frequencies and differentiated binucleated (BN) cells, associated with the exposure to ionizing radiation.
