Book ChapterDOI

6.9 C–C Bond Formation: (aza) Morita–Baylis–Hillman Reaction

TL;DR: This chapter has described recent mechanistic insights and advances in the enantioselective MBH and aza-MBH reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Palladium Enolate Umpolung: Cyclative Diacetoxylation of Alkynyl Cyclohexadienones Promoted by a Pd/SPRIX Catalyst.

TL;DR: In this article, a novel palladium-catalyzed reaction involving an unusual nucleophilic attack on a palladium enolate was developed using a spiro-bis(isoxazoline) (SPRIX) ligand.
Journal ArticleDOI

Using α- and β-Epimerizations of cis-2,3-Bis(hydroxymethyl)-γ-butyrolactone for the Synthesis of Both Enantiomers of Enterolactone.

TL;DR: Theoretical and kinetic studies were performed to elucidate the epimerization mechanism and selective α- or β-epimerization of a γ-butyrolactone was used to selectively synthesize both enantiomers of enterolactone.
