Piezoresponse Force Microscopy Study of Ferroelectric BaTiO3 Thin Film Directly Deposited on Si(001) by Magnetron Sputtering
Hongliang Lu,Shuangqi Song,Xiaofeng Gu,Shu Li He,Chonglin Chen,Gang Bing Song,Zhong Hou Cai,Hai Ming Guo,Hong-Jun Gao,Li Sun +9 more
TL;DR: By optimizing magnetron sputtering parameters, highly preferential growth of BaTiO3 thin films with reproducible ferroelectric responses have been achieved on Si (001) substrates.
Journal ArticleDOI
Persistent metal-insulator transition at the surface of an oxygen-deficient, epitaxial manganite film
Paul C. Snijders,Min Gao,Hangwen Guo,Guixin Cao,Wolter Siemons,Hong-Jun Gao,Thomas Z. Ward,Jian Shen,Zheng Gai +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, in situ scanning tunnelling spectroscopic data reveal that the surface of these films exhibits a metal-insulator transition (MIT) at 120 K, coincident with the onset of ferromagnetic ordering of small clusters in the bulk of the oxygen-deficient film.
Journal Article
Epitaxial Growth of Quinacridone Derivative on Ag(110)
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Direct Visualization of Hydrogen-Transfer Intermediate States by Scanning Tunneling Microscopy.
Rongting Wu,De-Liang Bao,De-Liang Bao,Linghao Yan,Yeliang Wang,Junhai Ren,Yan-Fang Zhang,Qing Huan,Yu-Yang Zhang,Shixuan Du,Sokrates T. Pantelides,Sokrates T. Pantelides,Hong-Jun Gao +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that hydrogen atoms bonded within molecular cavities often undergo tunneling or thermal transfer processes that play major roles in diverse physical phenomena, and such transfers may or may not entail inter-cell interconnection.
