Universal mechanical exfoliation of large-area 2D crystals

TL;DR: A one-step, contamination-free, Au-assisted mechanical exfoliation method for 2D materials, and isolate 40 types of single-crystalline monolayers, including elemental 2D crystals, metal-dichalcogenides, magnets and superconductors with millimetre size is developed.
Journal ArticleDOI

La2O3-modified YSZ coatings: High-temperature stability and improved thermal barrier properties

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructural stability and thermal barrier properties of a new kind of thermal barrier coatings were studied under different annealing conditions, and the La 2 O 3 surface coating restrains grain growth of yttria-stabilized-zirconia (YSZ) powders during both deposition and postannealing processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopic evidence of bilayer splitting and strong interlayer pairing in the superconductor KCa2Fe4As4F2

TL;DR: In this paper, the interlayer coupling between the CuO$_2$ planes plays an important role in dictating superconductivity, as indicated by the sensitive dependence of the critical temperature (T$_C$) on the number of CuO $ 2$ planes in one structural unit.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diffusion dynamics of valley excitons by transient grating spectroscopy in monolayer WSe2

TL;DR: In this article, the diffusion dynamics of the valley excitons in a high-quality large-scale mechanically exfoliated tungsten diselenide (WSe2) monolayer was investigated at room temperature.
