Journal ArticleDOI

Supplementation of direct-fed microbials as an alternative to antibiotic on growth performance, immune response, cecal microbial population, and ileal morphology of broiler chickens

TL;DR: The results indicate that the dietary supplementation of DFM increases the growth performance of birds at an early age, stimulates the immune response, decreases the number of E. coli, and improves the ileal morphology of broiler chickens.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unveiling the critical role of REX1 in the regulation of human stem cell pluripotency.

TL;DR: It is shown that a novel pluripotency regulator, REX1, is functionally important in the reacquisition and maintenance of pluripOTency and reprogramming.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of various forms of dietary Chlorella supplementation on growth performance, immune characteristics, and intestinal microflora population of broiler chickens

TL;DR: It is concluded that dietary supplementation of FLC improves BW gain, immune characteristics, and the production of Lactobacillus bacteria in the intestinal microflora of broiler chickens.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isoliquiritigenin isolated from Glycyrrhiza uralensis protects neuronal cells against glutamate-induced mitochondrial dysfunction.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that isoliquiritigenin isolated from Glycyrrhiza uralensis (Gu), one of the most frequently prescribed oriental herbal medicines, protected HT22 hippocampal neuronal cells from glutamate-induced oxidative stress and the results suggest that ISL may protect against mitochondrial dysfunction by limiting glutamate- induced oxidative stress.
