TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the prevalence of different variant types (nonsense, frameshift, and splicing) in women with peripartum cardiomyopathy and with population controls, and found that truncating variants were the most prevalent genetic predisposition in each disorder.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patients with Stress-Induced (Takotsubo) Cardiomyopathy Have an Increased Prevalence of Mood Disorders and Antidepressant Use Compared to Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction
Journal ArticleDOI
Psychiatric history, post-discharge distress, and personality characteristics among incident female cases of takotsubo cardiomyopathy: A case-control study

TL;DR: Preadmission anxiety, but not depression, was associated with the occurrence of takotsubo cardiomyopathy and high distress and PTSD symptoms post-discharge indicate that TC women may be at risk for poor psychological adjustment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Depression, anxiety, and platelet reactivity in patients with coronary heart disease
