Journal ArticleDOI
Novel biphenyl bis-sulfonamides as acetyl and butyrylcholinesterase inhibitors: Synthesis, biological evaluation and molecular modeling studies.
Sadaf Mutahir,Jakub Jończyk,Marek Bajda,Islam Ullah Khan,Muhammad Asim Khan,Nisar Ullah,Muhammad Ashraf,Qurat-ul-Ain,Sadaf Riaz,Sajjad Hussain,Muhammad Yar +10 more
TL;DR: Structural-activity relationship (SAR) of these compounds was developed and elaborated with the help of molecular docking studies, and 3p was found to be the most potent against AChE, whereas 3g exhibited the highest inhibition for BChE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pyridine sulfonamide as a small key organic molecule for the potential treatment of type-II diabetes mellitus and Alzheimer’s disease: In vitro studies against yeast α-glucosidase, acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase
Sadaf Riaz,Islam Ullah Khan,Marek Bajda,Muhammad Ashraf,Qurat-ul-Ain,Ayesha Shaukat,Tanzeel Ur Rehman,Sadaf Mutahir,Sajjad Hussain,Ghulam Mustafa,Muhammad Yar +10 more
TL;DR: The efficient high yield synthesis of novel pyridine 2,4,6-tricarbohydrazide derivatives (4a-4i) along with their α-glucosidase, acetylcholinesterase, AChE and butyrylcholiersterase inhibition activities showed the potential of synthesized compounds in controlling both type-II diabetes mellitus and Alzheimer's disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel synthesis of dihydropyrimidines for α-glucosidase inhibition to treat type 2 diabetes: in vitro biological evaluation and in silico docking
Muhammad Yar,Marek Bajda,Lubna Shahzadi,Sohail Anjum Shahzad,Maqsood Ahmed,Muhammad Ashraf,Umber Alam,Islam Ullah Khan,Ather Farooq Khan +8 more
TL;DR: The biological assay revealed that the majority of compounds synthesized displayed modest inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase at low micro-molar concentrations, and this method is applicable for various substituted aldehydes as well as urea and thiourea.
Journal ArticleDOI
Azacalixarenes : new macrocycles with dimethyleneaza-bridged calix[4]arene systems
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous determination of potassium clavulanate and cefixime in synthetic mixtures by high-performance liquid chromatography.
TL;DR: The results obtained for the synthetic mixture show that the method is highly precise and accurate for the simultaneous determination of potassium clavulanate and cefixime.
