TL;DR: This study confirms that the HCM Risk-SCD model provides accurate prognostic information that can be used to target implantable cardioverter defibrillator therapy in patients at the highest risk of SCD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Early Diastolic Strain Rate in Relation to Systolic and Diastolic Function and Prognosis in Aortic Stenosis
Jordi S. Dahl,Sergio Barros-Gomes,Lars Videbæk,Mikael Kjær Poulsen,Issa Farah Issa,Rasmus Carter-Storch,Nicolaj Lyhne Christensen,Anja Kumme,Patricia A. Pellikka,Jacob E. Møller +9 more
TL;DR: Pre-operative E/SRe ratio was significantly associated with long-term post-operative survival and was superior to the E/e' ratio in patients with severe AS undergoing AVR.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structural valve deterioration in the Mitroflow biological heart valve prosthesis.
Issa Farah Issa,Steen Hvitfeldt Poulsen,Farhad Waziri,Christian Torp Pedersen,Per Hostrup Nielsen,Lars Riber,Jordi S. Dahl,Peter Søgaard,Martin Agge Nørgaard,Jacob E. Møller +9 more
TL;DR: The incidence of undetected severe SVD was as high as the incidence of operated SVD, and the overall risk for SVD is high for the Mitroflow bioprosthesis, especially if the prosthesis is small and older than 5 years.
Journal ArticleDOI
The relation of structural valve deterioration to adverse remodelling and outcome in patients with biological heart valve prostheses.

TL;DR: SVD in aortic bioprostheses is associated with adverse LV remodelling and adverse outcome.
